AT&T Fiber plans and speeds in San Antonio

AT&T sells fiber in five tiers. Which ones reach your address depends on what is already built on your street, so the plan list below is the menu and your address decides the choice. Pricing is set by AT&T at the moment of the order.

Where we check AT&T Fiber in the San Antonio metro

Fiber availability is decided street by street, not by city. These are the areas we check most often, and a home inside one of them can still sit outside the fiber footprint:

  • Stone Oak
  • Alamo Heights
  • Alamo Ranch
  • Helotes
  • Leon Valley
  • Terrell Hills
  • Converse
  • Schertz
  • Cibolo
  • Universal City
  • Live Oak
  • Selma
  • Boerne
  • New Braunfels
  • Bulverde
  • Fair Oaks Ranch

Send the full address, including unit number, and we tell you what is live there. If fiber has not reached your street, we check AT&T Internet Air and any other AT&T home internet option available.

AT&T Fiber installation in San Antonio

Once the order is placed, AT&T schedules the installation. Most homes with an existing fiber drop are connected in a single visit; homes that need a new line run from the street to the house usually take longer and may need a second appointment.

The technician needs access to the outside of the house and to the spot where you want the gateway. If your home has an attic, a crawl space or a gated yard, mention it when you order so the appointment is booked with the right time window. If you rent, confirm with the property owner before the visit.

On the day of the installation the technician brings the gateway, connects the fiber line and confirms the service is live. AT&T sets the appointment windows and any rescheduling, and we help you follow up if the date moves.

AT&T Internet Air in San Antonio: when fiber is not on your street

Fiber keeps expanding across the metro, but there are still streets where the line has not been built. For those addresses AT&T offers Internet Air, a fixed wireless home internet service that works through a 5G gateway and needs no cable or fiber run.

It is a different product with different conditions: the speed depends on the signal at your address, the equipment is a wireless gateway rather than a fiber gateway, and the plan list is its own. What does not change is the way we work: we check the address, confirm whether Internet Air is eligible there and tell you which option is the better fit before you commit.

If you already have fiber available, fiber remains the stronger choice for upload-heavy work. If you are moving into a home where fiber is months away, Internet Air gets you connected without waiting for construction.

Is 1 GIG or 5 GIG worth it in San Antonio?

Most homes in San Antonio do fine on 300 Mbps to 1 GIG. The tier you need depends on how many devices stream at once, whether anyone works from home and whether you move large files in either direction.

1 GIG is the plan most of our customers land on: it carries several 4K streams, video calls, cloud backups and gaming at the same time without anyone noticing the other. It is also the tier where the current $100 reward card and three months of YouTube TV apply.

2 GIG and 5 GIG make sense when the house has a wired network, network storage, a home studio or a business running from the property. Above 1 GIG, the equipment inside the home becomes the limit as often as the line itself, so it is worth checking what your router and devices can actually use before paying for speed you cannot move.

ZIP codes we check in San Antonio

We check addresses across the San Antonio metro, including these ZIP codes. Being listed here does not mean fiber is live on every street inside it:

  • 78253
  • 78245
  • 78251
  • 78254
  • 78249
  • 78240
  • 78247
  • 78259
  • 78258
  • 78260
  • 78261
  • 78248
  • 78231
  • 78209
  • 78212
  • 78230

Outside these codes we still check: the metro reaches into Boerne, New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo and Seguin, and ADCS sells AT&T nationwide.

Moving to San Antonio or building new

If you are closing on a house in the metro, the address check is worth doing before the move date. A home can sit inside a fiber area and still need a line run, and knowing that two weeks early changes how you schedule the move, the internet installation and any work-from-home start date.

For new construction, fiber availability depends on what the builder pulled to the house. Some new homes are fiber ready from day one, others are wired for coax and need the AT&T build before fiber can be ordered. Send us the address and the stage of construction and we will tell you what applies.

If you are relocating from another city and already have AT&T service, ask about a move order instead of starting a new account. The plans and credits available at the new address can differ from the ones at the old one.

Why order AT&T Fiber through ADCS Wireless

We are an AT&T Preferred Dealer

ADCS Wireless sells AT&T services from San Antonio, in English and Spanish, for homes and businesses.

We check the address, not the map

Fiber eligibility is an address-level question. We confirm what is live at your home before you commit to a plan.

AT&T sets the plan and the price

Plans, pricing and installation are AT&T's. We place the order through AT&T and help you choose the tier that fits your household.

One local contact

If the order stalls, the appointment moves or the reward card does not arrive, you call a San Antonio number, not a national queue.

How ordering works

  1. You send the service address, including the unit number if there is one.
  2. We check which AT&T Fiber speeds are live there and what each one costs that day.
  3. You pick a plan and we place the order through AT&T.
  4. AT&T schedules the installation and activates the service. We stay reachable for questions.

Installation is performed by AT&T technicians. ADCS does not install or repair the service.

What to know before you order

Symmetrical speed is the real difference

On fiber, the upload matches the download. Video calls, cloud backups and large uploads stop competing with everything else in the house.

Installation is scheduled by AT&T

The technician appointment is set by AT&T. We help you confirm what the visit includes and what access the technician needs.

Reward cards require redemption

A reward card is not a bill credit. It arrives as a card you must redeem within the window AT&T sets, so keep the email and the code.

Business addresses are a separate order

If the service is for a company, the plans, credits and equipment differ. Start on our AT&T business internet in San Antonio page.

Home internet or business internet

Residential fiber and business fiber are sold as separate products, with different plans, credits, equipment and support. If the line is for a company, a home office that bills clients, a retail location or a warehouse, start with the business side instead of a residential plan: the terms change and the available credits are larger.

We handle both. AT&T business internet in San Antonio covers Fiber for Business and Internet Air for Business, and the backup internet guide explains what keeps a business online when the primary line fails. For first responder agencies, see FirstNet in San Antonio.

AT&T Fiber in San Antonio: questions we get every week

Is AT&T Fiber available at my address in San Antonio?

AT&T Fiber is available home by home, not by neighborhood. Send us the full address, including the unit number, and we check what is live there. The same street can have fiber on one block and not on the next.

How fast is AT&T Fiber in San Antonio?

AT&T sells fiber in 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 GIG, 2 GIG and 5 GIG tiers where the network supports them. Fiber is symmetrical, so upload matches download. The 5 GIG plan has a single-device wired speed maximum of 4.7 Gbps.

How much does AT&T Fiber cost in San Antonio?

The 1 GIG plan is $70 per month plus taxes and fees. The other tiers are quoted at your address. Fiber pricing has no equipment fee and no annual contract, and customers with an eligible AT&T wireless plan save 20% per month, applied within 3 bills.

Do I have to sign an annual contract?

No. AT&T Fiber plans do not require an annual contract, so there is no early termination fee tied to the internet plan.

Is the Wi-Fi equipment included?

Yes. The Wi-Fi gateway is included in the plan price, with no separate monthly equipment charge. AT&T also offers optional mesh extenders for larger homes.

How do I get the $100 reward card?

The $100 reward card applies to 1 GIG or higher plans and requires redemption. After the order, AT&T sends the redemption instructions by email. Redeem before the window closes or the card is lost.

Can I get 3 months of YouTube TV?

Yes, with a 1 GIG or faster plan, for customers new to YouTube TV and when the order is placed online. After three months the main plan renews at the current price unless you cancel.

What if AT&T Fiber is not available at my home?

Then we check the other AT&T home internet options at that address, including AT&T Internet Air, which is fixed wireless and does not need a fiber line. Availability and speeds depend on the address.

Do you install the service?

No. ADCS Wireless is the dealer that checks your address and places the order. The installation and any repair are done by AT&T technicians.

Do you also handle business internet?

Yes. ADCS handles AT&T business internet, wireless and FirstNet for companies in San Antonio and nationwide. Business plans and credits are different from residential ones.
